I'll overwhelm 'serious boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically known for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually happening.
